Alerts are a quick and easy way to keep track of your accounts without signing in to your Online Banking or Mobile app. Never miss a beat by setting up and managing account alerts in Online Banking or Mobile Banking. There’s no need to check in with us, we’ll check in with you. Alerts give you key information, like account balances, so you can take action when needed and prevent potential fraud issues. Choose the alerts you want and how you want to receive them – email or text message.

What are Alerts?
Alerts are messages sent by email and/or text messages that help you stay informed about important account information and can assist you in keeping your accounts secure.
 
What types of Alerts are available?
Different alerts are available in Online Banking, Mobile Banking and in Finance Manager in Online Banking and the Mobile App.
 
You have several types of Alerts available: Events, Balance, Item, Personal and Goals.

How do I set up, add, or stop Alerts?
In Online Banking
To setup Alerts, log in to Online Banking. Click Options and then Click Alerts and follow the prompts. You will be asked to enter a primary email address. You may also sign up for text Alerts. You will be asked to register a primary mobile phone number to receive the texts.
 
To make changes to your Alert preferences, log in to Online Banking. Click Options and then Click Alerts. You will be able to see a listing of all established alerts, with the options to Edit or Delete the alert.
 
To stop receiving text Alerts, log in to Online Banking. Click Options and then Alerts. Locate the Alert(s) that alert you via Text Message, click Edit (if you would like to receive the alert via email) or Delete.
 
In Mobile Banking
To set alerts in the mobile app, log in to the mobile app and find the account(s) that you would like to set alerts on. Click on the account and then settings. Locate the alert you want to set up and click the button to enable and set up the alert.
To make changes or stop the alert, return to this screen by clicking on the account and settings. You can edit the alert or click on the button next to the alert to disable the alert.
 
In Finance Manager - In Online Banking
In Online Banking, click on Finance Manager. On the dashboard, click on Alerts. Click on Add an Alert.
 
To edit or delete the alert in Online Banking, click on Finance Manager and click Alerts. Find the alert that you wish to edit/delete and click on the edit icon to the right of the alert. Here you can edit or delete the alert.
 
In Finance Manager - In Mobile Banking
In the mobile app, click on the menu icon at the top left hand of the app. Click on Finance Manager, scroll the spending habits menu bar to the right to Alerts. Click on Alerts and scroll to the bottom. Click on the black bar that says Looking for more data and when the message appears “All data is updated”, click View Now. Click the plus icon to add alerts.
 
To edit or disable alerts in Finance Manager, click on Alerts in spending habits tool bar and find the alert you wish to edit or disable. Click on the alert and edit or delete the alert.
 
What accounts are eligible for Alerts?
  • Checking Accounts
  • Savings Accounts
  • Various Loan Accounts
 
What if I receive an alert for a transaction that I do not recognize?
Please report any unauthorized transactions immediately by calling your local Banking Center during business hours.
 
Can I reply to messages and alerts?
No, you cannot reply to messages and alerts. Contact your local Banking Center or email the eBanking Department.
Does Providence Bank charge a fee for text Alerts?
Providence Bank does not charge a fee for text Alerts. Availability may be affected by your mobile carrier’s coverage area. Your mobile carrier’s message and data rates may apply.


How can I change the mobile number used for text Alerts?
To change your mobile phone number, log in to Online Banking. Click Options and then Personal. Update the Mobile Phone number fields and Wireless Provider Address.
